About People War's Day
People War's Day in Nepal marks the start of the armed insurgency launched by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) on 13 February 1996. The conflict lasted ten years and ended with the Comprehensive Peace Agreement of 2006, after which the former rebels joined mainstream politics.
