About Victory Day
Victory Day in Tajikistan commemorates the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in May 1945, which Tajiks, like other former Soviet peoples, call the Great Patriotic War. It is a public holiday honouring those from Tajikistan who fought and died in the war.
